Growth With Controlled Risk blends two universes of growth stocks: Forecast Appreciation and Proven Appreciation. Forecast Appreciation focuses on stocks for which we forecast major earnings acceleration. Proven Appreciation focuses on well-established large capitalization stocks that have continually paid dividends for the last 20 years. The combination of stocks from each universe produces a portfolio which grows at a rate consistent with a growth style, but has some protection against downside risk in turbulent markets. The approach seeks to exploit the correlation between profit acceleration and price appreciation. We screen for growth across the large cap landscape, focusing on securities for which we project financial acceleration at substantially higher levels than the market based primarily on forecasted acceleration in fundamentals.
